September 2021: $1m median in Sydney for units
Sydney's median dwelling value crossed $1.3m. Unit medians crossed $830k. Affordability metrics broke records that had stood since the early 2000s.

Combined-capitals dwelling values were up 20.3% year-on-year by September 2021. New South Wales house values had risen $1,200 per day on average for the previous 12 months.

Affordability ratios that stretched broke geographically. By Q4 2021 the strongest growth rotated to Brisbane and Adelaide as Sydney/Melbourne buyers cashed out and redeployed into 4-bed houses at half the price.
